Cancel within 24 hours: 1-day rental fee + transaction fee.
No-shows: Partial refund (typically 2 days’ rental).

If paid by card, cancel before pick-up.
Debit card refunds within 5 to 10 business days, call if delayed.
Credit Card: Authorized on pickup, charged upon return.

Deposit at the front desk
When you pick up your vehicle, a bond amount equal to your chosen hirer liability limit will be taken on your credit/debit card.You will need this amount of available limit on your credit/debit card at the time of pickup.

Age requirements
Carforrent.nz rent cars to drivers aged between 21 and 70. Drivers under 25 and over 70 will be charged a young driver and senior driver fee respectively.
Getting a car
Passport or ID is required.
An international driver’s license is required if the national driver’s license is not printed in English.
